With innovative solutions and inspiring workshops, they try to help different industries make the best possible use of this technology.

Reducing workload with AI

"AI-VO started about a year ago during the Entrepreneurship Minor," explains Mathijn Goossens, co-founder and ICT & Software Engineering student. "During the Minor, we set up our startup. Actually, this was the perfect way to start, especially since we also received guidance from the field and could thus further develop our business idea.

Because although AI has made its way onto many work floors in a relatively short time, sometimes it is still difficult to use the possibilities in the right way, explains co-founder and ICT student Mathijn Goossens. "AI has had a huge impact, but it is sometimes still searching for the right applications. While it can be used for an awful lot of things, and can greatly reduce the workload in many sectors."

"We were keen to make targeted connections to start offering our workshop to schools. That worked out pretty well, at the moment we have follow-up appointments scheduled with people we met at The Connection through Startups for Society. "

Focus on AI for education

AI-VO offers workshops and tools to use artificial intelligence (AI) in education and reduce workloads. By integrating AI into tasks such as lesson plans and tests, teachers can work more efficiently. The company focuses on education, where AI helps improve processes and reduce workloads.

From start-up to scale-up

At the moment, AI-VO is still in the start-up phase, so gaining connections and visibility is an important aspect. Taking part in The Connection -the event organised by Startups for Society's partners- was therefore a great opportunity to showcase the company, Mathijn says. It is now time to start offering the workshops and tools to a wider audience. "We are ready, and this is just the beginning. There are so many useful applications for AI to think of, and actually we are only at the beginning. Those who can handle AI well are ready for the future. We are happy to lend a hand with that."
